Creative       Fun       Relaxing

The Village Pottery and Craft Centre is a family run business based in Shepperton and focussed on providing pottery and crafting services to the local community. We have over 500 ceramic designs for you to choose from, including functional items for your home and personalised gifts for friends and family. You can decorate and glaze the ceramics yourself, during one of our regular classes, or you can ask us to produce the finished article for you. We also run wet clay pottery groups and classes where you can create your own items with hand building techniques or using one of our wheels. In addition we can provide private sessions for adult and/or children's parties, special events or just getting together as a group of friends. We cater for all ages and abilities, and you are very welcome to come along and give it a try. The aim of the centre is to provide a creative, fun and relaxing space for our arts and crafts community, with on-hand advice, sharing of ideas, workshops and events. We are located at the beautiful Grange Farm estate in Shepperton, with stunning views and plenty of parking both at the farm and across the road at the parade of shops. The Village Pottery and Craft Centre is a place to visit with friends, or on your own to meet likeminded people. We run regular groups and provide the following services:

Pottery Classes: termly tuition on developing wet clay techniques though specific projects.

Private Wet Clay Sessions: focussed on working with clay and learning techniques, either for building by hand or using the wheel.

Parties, Events and Team Building: exclusive use of the the studio for parties or other special events.

Mobile Studio: we can bring all materials to your venue and run a session at your convenience.

Projects and Commissions: we can produce bespoke pieces to your specification and also have experience of working on gardens.

Studio Hire: the studio is available for hire during off-peak times for crafting groups or other gatherings.

Our Story

The idea for a community based pottery studio has come about though my passion for pottery and crafting, originating as a hobby but now evolving into a local business.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase Halliford Village Pottery in 2017, which was an established pottery and ceramics studio at Grange Farm, Shepperton, although with limited sessions and customers. Since then we have invested in upgrading the facilities, services and opening times and after five years we have now moved to our own premises. I am very much enjoying meeting and working with the many new customers who are now visiting. The studio has a wonderful peaceful atmosphere and this creates a lovely environment for creativity and relaxation.

In 2022, we won the Spelthorne Business Plan of the Year Competition with a plan to launch our teaching services online via video-based tuition and home learning kits.

Please take a look at our Facebook page - The Village Pottery and Craft Centre for up to date news and a gallery of work completed by our customers.

I look forward to meeting you and to welcoming you to our lovely pottery studio.
